Ndola College of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) is a distinguished institution under the auspices of Ndola Teaching Hospital. Established in 1973, the college has a proud history of training skilled nursing and midwifery professionals who are making significant contributions to Zambia’s healthcare sector.

Conveniently located just 3 kilometers from the Ndola main post office, NCNM is nestled within the grounds of Ndola Teaching Hospital. Situated in the western part of Ndola city center along Broadway Road, our location provides easy access to state-of-the-art clinical training facilities and a dynamic urban environment.

OUR JOURNEY and GROWTH
From its humble beginnings with an inaugural intake of 20 student nurses in 1973, NCNM has grown significantly. Today, the college boasts a student population of over 1,200 and offers five specialized nursing and midwifery programs designed to meet Zambia's evolving healthcare needs.
NCNM Training Programs
NCNM offers two training streams tailored to students at different stages of their nursing careers:
1. Pre-Service Training
Designed for individuals without prior nursing training who wish to begin their careers in nursing.
Programs offered:
- Registered Nursing
- Registered Midwifery
Eligibility: Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate.
2. In-Service Training
Design Designed for nursing professionals looking to specialize and advance their careers.
Specialties offered:
- Advanced Diploma in Registered Midwifery.
- Advanced Diploma in Registered Critical Care Nursing.
- Advanced Diploma in Registered Operation Theatre Nursing.
- Advanced Diploma in Registered HIV Nurse Practitioner.
Eligibility: Applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate and a diploma in Registered Nursing.
